About Wireless/Networking: When Too Much Wi-Fi Is a Bad Thing
Some have speculated that prolonged exposure to wireless network devices can cause memory loss or other brain damage. Potential health hazards have not been scientifically validated, however. In fact, using Wi-Fi is most likely much safer than using a cell phone.
A consideration on any computer network, security is especially important on Wi-Fi wireless networks. Hackers can easily intercept wireless network traffic over open air connections and extract information like passwords and credit card numbers... .
If you're prepared to take the risks and understand the basics of making wireless network connections, joining a wireless network should be easy. However, special considerations apply depending on the type of device you're using.
