Vonage reaches tentative settlement with AT&T, 11/08/07: Vonage is working to settle yet another patent dispute, this time for a comparatively low $39 million.

Republicans seek privacy hearing on Google-DoubleClick deal, 11/08/07: The Republican members of a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee are calling for a public hearing to delve into the data privacy issues surrounding Google's proposed $3.1 billion acquisition of online advertising company DoubleClick.

Cisco revenue, profit rose in Q1, 11/07/07: Cisco posted a double-digit rise in revenue in its fiscal first quarter ended Oct. 27, with an even bigger gain in profit.

Nortel makes money despite falling revenue, 11/07/07: Nortel Networks achieved a measure of financial recovery in the third quarter as it posted a small profit, even while revenue for most of its businesses fell.

IBM, Microsoft, SAP lag behind on Web 2.0, 11/07/07: IBM, Microsoft and SAP are taking a charge at the business Web 2.0 market, but the big vendors still lag behind smaller rivals who have developed far more innovative technology with quicker release cycles, according to a Forrester analyst.
