Verizon sues FCC over open-access auction, 09/14/07: Verizon Wireless has encountered strong opposition for its request that an appeals court overturn U.S. Federal Communications Commission auction rules on a portion of wireless spectrum.

Microsoft loses appeal against EU antitrust ruling, 09/17/07: Microsoft failed Monday in its bid to overturn a European Commission antitrust ruling against it, when the European Union's second-highest court dismissed the company's appeal and ordered it to pay the bulk of the Commission's legal expenses.

SEC charges four ex-Nortel execs with fraud, 09/13/07: The Securities and Exchange Commission this week charged four more former Nortel executives with engaging in a 2003 accounting fraud by manipulating reserves to manage Nortel's earnings.
