Four critical Windows fixes coming next week
Microsoft will release six sets of security patches next Tuesday, four of which will fix critical flaws in the Windows operating system.

IP address depletion looms, ARIN warns
The IPv6 movement got a boost in May when the American Registry for Internet Numbers announced it would actively encourage migration to IPv6. ARIN distributes blocks of IP addresses to service providers and enterprises based in North America.

Ex-Alcatel exec pleads guilty to bribery
A former Alcatel executive has pleaded guilty to paying more than $2.5 million in bribes to secure a telephone contract with Costa Rica's state telecommunications agency, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.
