Sprint Nextel buys out wireless provider for $312 million, 06/13/07:  Sprint Nextel announced Wednesday that it is acquiring Northern PCS Services for $312 million.

Palm hit with layoffs, 06/14/07:  Struggling handheld device maker Palm has been hit with layoffs.

Dell says internal audit is nearly complete, 06/15/07:  Dell is in the final phases of an internal audit of its finances, the company said Thursday as it told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission it will delay filing an audited earnings report for the fourth consecutive quarter.

Microsoft takes stake in Chinese electronics maker, 06/17/07:  Microsoft will invest in Chinese electronics maker Sichuan Changhong Electric Co. as part of a project to link televisions and consumer entertainment devices with the Internet.

IBM, Cisco ready co-developed management software, 06/14/07:  IBM and Cisco plan to release a jointly developed product in July as part of an expansion of their existing alliance around telecommunications network management and service assurance, the companies said Thursday.

SonicWall, Aventail combo could bolster customer NAC options, 06/14/07:  SonicWall buying Aventail presents the likelihood of developing NAC gear as well as broadening the capabilities of both companies’ SSL VPN equipment.

Google to build R&D center in Shanghai, 06/15/07:  Google will open an R&D center in Shanghai, stepping up its effort to build a bigger search business in China.
