Cisco and health insurer UnitedHealth Group are piloting a network that connects patients and health care providers through videoconferencing technology, which would allow patients to be diagnosed through the use of biomedical imaging technology from remote locations.

Equipment market, led by Cisco, expected to rebound
The telecom and datacom equipment market is projected to grow from $150 billion in 2008 to $195 billion in 2013, a CAGR of 5.39%, according to Infonetics Research.The firm expects the market to contract this year compared to last, and then recover between 2010 and 2011. Cisco is the leading vendor in the market, followed by Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson, according to Infonetics.

IPv6 Traffic: Do Not be Overly Alarmed
Some recent Network World articles have been written about the fact that organizations have IPv6 traffic on them even though they have not explicitly enabled IPv6 on their hosts or network devices. I don't want you to overreact to this news or to unnecessarily spread fear-uncertainty-and-doubt about IPv6.
