(51:40) Reviews Group test: Top 10 digital cameras If you're looking to improve the quality of your photographs and want something beyond a basic point-and-shoot model, a digital SLR (dSLR) camera could be the right choice of kit. Dell Studio One 19 All-in-One Desktop PC You'll either love or hate the Dell Studio One 19. It's by far the fastest 19-inch or smaller all-in-one PC we've tested; and like the HP TouchSmart IQ816 and TouchSmart IQ500T PCs, it boasts a dual-touch display. But its screen wasn't as responsive to gestures as we had hoped, and its design...well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. HP TouchSmart IQ500t All-in-One Desktop PC The 22-inch TouchSmart 500t is essentially a faster, slimmed-down version of the 25.5-inch HP TouchSmart IQ816. Both all-in-one PCs are multitouch capable, as is the 18.5-inch Dell Studio One 19. Multitouch aside, the $1650 500t's closest competitor in features and speed is the Lenovo IdeaCentre A600; though the A600's 21.5-inch display lacks touch, it'll cost you $500 less. iMac (20 Inches, Aluminum) All-in-One PC The iMac models released in early 2009 are the third generation of the aluminum iMac, and the all-in-one design hasn't changed much since its introduction in 2007. The grey bezel, the black Apple logos front and back, the aluminum stand, the matte-black plastic rear...it's all there, including the big glossy screen--much to the chagrin of antiglare proponents. And you get no antiglare option, either. MSI Wind Top AE1900 (01SUS) All-in-One PC Separating the AE1900 from its all-in-one PC peers are its 18.5-inch, single-touch display and its affordable $529 (as of 7/2/09) price. Its screen is larger than the 15.6-inch Asus Eee Top ET1602, which is only $30 cheaper, and it has an integrated DVD±RW drive. The AE1900's identically priced rival, the 18.4-inch Averatec All-in-One D1100 Series, also has a DVD writer but lacks a touchscreen. Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 All-in-One Desktop PC No question about it: Lenovo's IdeaCentre A600 looks unique. The combination of a sharp and angular design, an ultrathin chassis, and a 21.5-inch display definitely stands out against the more traditional "one big flat panel" look that competing all-in-one desktops offer. And at $1149 (as of 7/2/09), the A600 is seriously competitive, especially since it's the most upgradable all-in-one PC we've seen. iMac (24 Inches, Aluminum) All-in-One PC The iMac models released in early 2009 are the third generation of the aluminum iMac, and the all-in-one design hasn't changed much since its introduction in 2007. The grey bezel, the black Apple logos front and back, the aluminum stand, the matte-black plastic rear...it's all there, including the big glossy screen--much to the chagrin of antiglare proponents. And you get no antiglare option, either. Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS The Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS ($230 as of 7/20/2009) fits all my requirements for the ideal summertime camera: It's pocketable and affordable, with an interesting variety of shooting modes, excellent image quality, and optical image stabilization. A few design flaws keep it from being perfect, however, and image quality did suffer with certain manual settings. Averatec All-in-One D1100 Series (D1133AH1E-1) The distinguishing characteristic of Averatec's All-in-One D1100 Series (D1133AH1E-1) is easy to see: a large, 18.4-inch display that's uncommon at this price ($529, as of 7/2/09). Uncommon, but not unheard of--not only does the MSI Wind Top AE1900 match the Averatec's screen size, but the MSI's display is single-touch capable to boot.
