Venture-capital dollars flood into network equipment, dry up for telecom and Internet start-ups, 08/13/07: Venture-capital investments in network companies during the second quarter hovered at the same level as first-quarter investments, although the sectors in which investors were most interested played a game of musical chairs. The state of connection brokering, 08/13/07: Centralized computing is becoming increasingly accepted as an efficient and cost-effective way of deploying desktops in the enterprise, shining a light on the key technologies that make it all possible. Virtualization, for example, allows more than one user to run a desktop session on a centralized server. Another less discussed but perhaps more important component is connection brokering.
