Microsoft releases super bundle of security patches, 08/14/07: Microsoft has released what security experts are calling one of it most significant security fixes this year.

Xandros expands Microsoft deal with Exchange protocols, 08/15/07: Linux distributor Xandros is licensing messaging protocols from Microsoft as part of an expansion of the partnership the two companies forged in June.

Microsoft fills two gaps in Exchange, but misses virtualization piece, 08/14/07: Microsoft on Tuesday released the second beta of the first service pack for Exchange Server 2007, plugging two holes in the process that prevented users from integrating with Vista and Windows 2008.

Microsoft trumps Google on free e-mail storage limit, 08/14/07: Microsoft is increasing the storage limit for its Web-based e-mail service, surpassing competitor Google's limit but far short of Yahoo's unlimited storage.

Microsoft completes aQuantive deal, sets up new advertising group, 08/13/07: Microsoft Monday said it completed its most expensive acquisition ever and is establishing a new online advertising group to battle Google and Yahoo head-to-head.

Microsoft questions FCC's 'white spaces' decision, 08/13/07: A prototype wireless device intended to share radio spectrum with television channels was malfunctioning when staff at the FCC tested it, Microsoft said Monday.

'Vista Capable' suit against Microsoft allowed to proceed, 08/10/07: A judge in Washington state has denied Microsoft's request to dismiss all claims in a suit alleging that "Windows Vista Capable" stickers the company put on PCs violated consumer protection laws and were an example of deceptive business practices, allowing the case to move ahead toward a jury trial.

Nude publisher Perfect 10 sues Microsoft, 08/09/07: A publisher of nude model photography is suing Microsoft for putting links and images of the company's content in search results taken from other Web sites that are illegally reproducing the material.
