Sprint details WiMAX plans, 08/16/07: Sprint Nextel's planned WiMAX service, now dubbed Xohm, will launch in the Chicago and Washington/Baltimore markets by year-end, then reach 100 million users nationwide by the end of 2008, company officials said Thursday.

Infosys sets up Mexico operation, 08/21/07: Indian outsourcer Infosys Technologies has established an IT services and BPO (business process outsourcing) operation in Monterrey, Mexico, in line with the strategy of many Indian outsourcers to deliver services to customers from locales in nearby time zones as well as offshore from India.

Huawei expands development in India, 08/20/07: Chinese telecommunications equipment maker Huawei Technologies plans to expand its research and development operation in India with the addition of 700 new staff over the next two years.
