Traffic management becomes critical as your network
infrastructure expands to support different types of traffic and
users. Most traffic management solutions have serious
limitations: too expensive, difficult to use, and overly taxing
on bandwidth. However ProCurve Networking by HP addresses these
requirements, overcomes the limitations of other solutions, and
gives you valuable insight into LAN performance. Click here to

NETFLASH: BREAKING NEWS FROM NETWORKWORLD.COM
By Jeff Caruso
It's too easy to dismiss eBay's bid for Skype as a bizarre move
by a company that doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows
up. The truth is that eBay sees the handwriting on the wall -
and if you go to this week's Voice on the Net trade show you'll
see it, too, as attendance is expected to jump 50% and
exhibitors will nearly double.

enterprise companies. Now the vendors are on board. Here's a

Oracle's spree changes CRM landscape
In the beginning, customers won't see any major changes as a
result of Oracle's decision to buy Siebel Systems last week.
Most of the short-term benefits will be reaped by Oracle over
the next calendar and fiscal years, as Siebel's software
licenses, maintenance contracts and consulting fees fatten
Oracle's revenue and profit results.

Shavlik adds anti-spyware to lineup
Shavlik Technologies, long known for patch management software,
is adding anti-spyware capabilities to its platform.

IS IT THE NETWORK OR THE STORAGE THAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Midsize and larger businesses often find their IT topology has
become a complex mix of servers, networks and storage systems.
Many of these companies also route long-haul traffic over
fiber-based networks - metropolitan-area networks, WANs and
private optical networks. Who's responsible when a
storage-related problem occurs on a fiber network? For more,
