I believe what you composed was very logical. But, what about this?
suppose you added a little content? I ain't suggesting your content isn't solid, but suppose you added something to maybe grab people's attention? I mean "Microsoft's cash-for-apps pitch to devs smells like desperation, says analyst" is a little plain. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and see how they write news titles to get people interested. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers excited about everything've written. Just my opinion, it might bring your website a little livelier.
