From Bradley Mitchell, your Guide to Computer Networking
There are few things more humbling than standing next to your router and having no clue how to talk to it (in the networking sense). Talking to your router literally (verbally) is easy enough, but don't expect that conversation to go anywhere. For whatever reason, voice activated routers aren't widely available... yet.

How to Find a Router's IP Address
The first step in building a healthy relationship with your home router is to figure out its IP address. Even newfangled models with automatic setup push buttons have one. Fortunately, router IP addresses are not random numbers.

How to Change the Password on a Network Router
After you figure out the router's address, you'll next need to log in. Don't panic. The standard usernames and passwords of most routers are listed in the documentation or online (see Linksys router default logins and Netgear router default logins for examples). By the way, your neighbors can probably look up these logins just as well as you. The less you trust them, the faster you should follow these instructions to change your password.

Reasons Why Wi-Fi Network Connections Drop
Your router may stop talking suddenly without warning. It could be having a bad day, or something worse. Here are some ideas for what could be wrong.

DISCUSS: Mapping Network Drives Via Batch Scripts
OK - enough about routers. Site member 'psamim' is trying to set up a batch script on their home computer that automatically connects to network disk drives when the computer boots up. Unfortunately, the script isn't working as it is being launched before the wireless connection has had time to establish. OK, makes sense. Isn't there a easier way to achieve the desired effect?
