To be able to send gigabytes of data to India in seconds, call China on my mobile phone, and have a telepresence with Japan all because of these cable systems astonishes me.

The recession has taken a staggering toll on U.S. venture capital investments, resulting in a nearly 50% drop overall during the past three months, according to a new industry report released Saturday.

The use of H-1B workers by U.S. companies is decreasing wages for computer programmers, system analysts and software engineers by as much as 6%, according to a study released this week by researchers at New York University's Stern School of Business and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
