IBM buyout targets data governance, 08/03/07: IBM Friday announced that it has acquired Princeton Softech, a maker of data archiving, classification and discovery products, to bolster its own data management offerings. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

F5 Networks to acquire Acopia Networks, 08/07/07: F5 Networks announced Monday that it will acquire Acopia Networks for $210 million in cash to bolster its application delivery product portfolio.

VC investments continue to rally during second quarter, 08/06/07: Venture capital funding during the second quarter continued at the healthy rate set during the first quarter, nearly matching the amount that was invested in that quarter and possibly putting 2007 on track to be a record year.
