Multihoming is the configuration of multiple network interfaces or IP addresses on a single computer. Multihoming is intended to increase the reliability of network applications but it does not necessarily improve their performance.   Physical Addresses and ARP n computer networking, a physical address is the hardware address embedded into network adapters. Because Ethernet and Wi-Fi both use MAC addresses as their physical addressing standard, the terms physical and MAC address have become synonymous.
