The switch from legacy Qwest Wireless services to Verizon has been in the works since last year when the company signed a five-year deal to make Verizon its official wireless carrier. That agreement gave Qwest's broadband, video and voice customers access to Verizon Wireless handsets, smartphones and BlackBerry devices.
