Nortel wants to speed up $17.65M Alteon sale Nortel Networks wants to speed up the sale of assets of its application-delivery division because it's worried it will get less money from the sale as time goes by, according to bankruptcy court documents filed on Friday.

Nortel sells technology for a fraction of original value Nortel announced that it is selling application delivery technology to Radware for $17.65 million, a fraction of the $6 billion-plus price it paid for it in 2000.

MPLS uses tags on packets to distinguish the traffic of one application from another so each can be transported as customers expect.
