It's hard to feel sorry for someone lucky enough to have a shiny new iPad 3, but some are now claiming your iPad 3 may have Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Sound familiar? Some older iPads reportedly suffered from a similar problem.

What Is the Range of a Wi-Fi Network?
At least one person complained that they needed to be within two meters (six feet) of their router in order to get their iPad 3 to connect. Obviously Wi-Fi is designed to cover much longer distances than that. But how much exactly?

The issues with Wi-Fi connectivity on iPad 1 were apparently resolved by updating the device's software. That's one possible cause for dropped wireless connections. Here are the other common reasons.
