First Windows had workgroups, then domains, and with Windows 7 a new feature called HomeGroup was introduced. HomeGroup is designed to simplify the process of sharing files and printers among Windows PCs on local networks. While it can be argued that Windows didn't need yet another method for organizing networks, it's good to have options. You also don't need to use home groups if you don't want to.

The interface to HomeGroup features is embedded within Windows Control Panel and Windows Explorer. In this tutorial you'll learn how to create and join home groups, manage resources being shared, and troubleshoot problems.
