Sizing up the big computing players
If HP's recently posted first quarter results are any indication of larger industry trends, things are indeed beginning to look better. Sales in the quarter ended Jan. 31 were up 8% to $31 billion compared to the same period a year ago, and profits jumped 25% to $2.3 billion.
