Windows security compliance tool debuts, 10/16/07: Promisec Tuesday is announcing a security compliance and configuration management tool for large Windows networks.

EU may consider regulation of broadband pricing, 10/15/07: The gap between broadband haves and have nots in the European Union has widened during the past year, a trend that might warrant price regulation similar to that imposed on the market for mobile roaming charges earlier this year, the European Commission said Monday.

New Senate bill focuses on identity theft, 10/17/07: A pair of U.S. senators yesterday introduced the Identity Theft Enforcement and Restitution Act of 2007, which proposes adding protections for consumers who fall victim to identity theft to the existing bill focused on data privacy and security that passed the Senate Judiciary Committee in May.
