From Bradley Mitchell, your Guide to Computer Networking
What would you with a network that runs at 339,000 Mbps? University researchers recently showed theirs off at a recent industry conference to get into the world record books. Other ideas include renting bandwidth to all of your friends, or taking over the Internet. See - A 2012 Internet speed record.

What Are Gbps and Mbps?
339,000 Mbps is usually written as 339 Gbps. They are the exact same thing, but 339,000 somehow just sounds faster (even though a little strange). On the other hand, 339,000,000,000 bits per second sounds really weird. People who want to impress their friends with knowledge of computer networking don't talk like that.
