From Bradley Mitchell, your Guide to Computer Networking
It's very difficult to respond to all of the email I receive from readers, but constructive feedback is always welcome. One message I opened this week began with: "I had to email you because you kept me from throwing my computer down the stairs..." Those are great to see, but obviously not all networking challenges turn out so well. If I failed to keep you from tossing your computer around, send those in also with any suggestions for how we can do better.

What Is WikiLeaks IP Address?

Readers Respond: Sharing Wi-Fi Access with Neighbors
"Me as a 15 year old and my neighbor as a 13 year old do yard work and babysitting, split our monthly bill for Wi-Fi connection and such so we can stay online through our Xbox 360's. As long as we're friends or alive, bills and Wi-Fi coverage will be easy to pay for."

Thermostat Control in Home Automation
Home automation compatible thermostats can allow you to control your thermostat from anywhere in the home, at work via the Internet, or in your car from a web-enabled phone.

DISCUSS: Becoming a Good Network Administrator
What does it take to become a good network administrator? As with most other endeavors, practice is essential. Getting hands-on experience in setting up and managing network equipment gives a person better understanding of the technology that translates into better problem solving skills. Are there any other traits a network administrator needs to have?
