Vonage reaches tentative settlement with AT&T, 11/08/07: Vonage is working to settle yet another patent dispute, this time for a comparatively low $39 million. Click Here for More Information Nokia impresses with latest Internet Tablet, 11/07/07: Nokia's N800 Internet Tablet is a very small, thin and portable handheld device with a large color touchscreen (800 by 480 pixels) and the ability to perform Web browsing, play multimedia (music, photos and videos), read e-mails and access other applications (games, calculator, etc.). While this is a Nokia device, the N800 doesn't access a cellular network, instead it uses Skype to perform VoIP calling through the device's Wi-Fi connectivity. VoIP security notices show security remains a multi-vendor issue, 11/05/07: Two VoIP services and equipment alerts were issued late last month. The first advisory, issued to residential and SMB VoIP users was sent by the Sipera VIPER Lab, operated by Sipera Systems. The lab disclosed multiple threat advisories for VoIP services and equipment users from Vonage, Globe7 and Grandstream. Among other threats, VoIP users can be subjected to eavesdropping, spam, spoofing and denial-of-service attacks, according to a statement issued by the lab. Full details on these vulnerabilities are posted as an educational security service to Sipera’s customers and the general public.
