Disabling SSID Broadcast Doesn't Work
A recommended technique to increase privacy of your wireless network is to disable the thing called "SSID broadcast" (see sidebar). Sometimes, as this member is experiencing, everything stops working when you do this. Read about how to avoid this problem but still get the security benefit.
