	Sprint Adds Contact Center to UC Portfolio Sprint recently announced it is teaming with ComputerTalk to integrate contact center capabilities into the Sprint Complete Collaboration with Microsoft Lync, Sprint’s unified communications portfolio. ComputerTalk’s solution, called ice, is a software only, cloud-based contact center.Sprint’s end-to-end UC platform approach provides enhanced mobility and SIP Trunking integrated for every user, designed to include a consistent experience across all collaboration tools, operating systems, and end points. Sprint Complete Collaboration also supports BYOD programs for tablets and mobile phones using multiple operating systems. Learn More New Communications App Wire Tones Down Encryption Claims Wire, the new communications app backed by Skype co-founder Janus Friss, debuted to much fanfare this week. But mere days later, the app is already embroiled in controversy after an answer in its user FAQ oversold the company's security chops. Wire uses end-to-end encryption for its voice calls, which should make it nearly impossible for anyone to eavesdrop depending on how the encryption was implemented. Hurrah!  But Wire can also be used for sharing photos, links, and text—all of which does not use end-to-end encryption. Learn More Court sentences ex-Apple manager to 1-year prison term over kickback scheme A former Apple manager who pleaded guilty to accepting kickbacks from Asian iPhone and iPod accessory suppliers was ordered to start serving his 366-day sentence in federal prison in February, more than four years after his arrest.Paul Shin Devine, 41, was also told to pay nearly $4.5 million in restitution, U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag and other federal officials announced Friday.
