From Bradley Mitchell, your Guide to Computer Networking
While many households are satisfied to have just one router powering their home network, an increasing number are looking to add a second one. Two-router setups don't automatically give you two Internet connections, of course, but they do help scale up your network with more bandwidth, coverage and security options.

How to Connect a Second Router to a Home Network
A second router can't be set up exactly the same as the first one. Usually a household has only one Internet connection to share, for example. Then there is the nasty issue of IP address conflicts. Fortunately, carefully following a few simple procedures can get your second router up and running smoothly.

Causes of Dropped Wi-Fi Connections
One of the reasons you might experience intermittent dropout of wireless network connections is interference from another router, which could be yours, or a neighbor's.

A Wireless Network That Monitors Your Breathing
Researchers from the University of Utah have developed an interesting application of Wi-Fi networking - watching people breathe.

Wiring A Ceiling Fan And Light For Home Automation
The easy (and lazy) way to wire a ceiling fan is to use a single switch for both the fan and the lights. The switch then controls both fan and lights, and if independent control is desired, it is achieved through pull chains. This configuration greatly limits home automation control of the fan and lights. By providing separate switch control of the fan and lights, the lights can be dimmed and the fan can be started and stopped based on room temperature.
