Late last month, Starwood Hotels and Tata Communications announced plans to offer telepresence facilities while Marriott Hotels and AT&T announced a similar partnership plan. Both partnerships plan to use Cisco as the telepresence infrastructure supplier. Read full story

In fact, most organizations in Nemertes research benchmarks are doing something with VoIP today, ranging from evaluations to full adoptions. Recently I have seen some slow-down in the adoption pace of VoIP and how quickly companies are extending the technology to more employees....

Microsoft Kills Response Point
The sharks have been circling for awhile and now it looks like it's official. Response Point, Microsoft's SMB VoIP platform, is dead. Earlier this summer Microsoft announced its first substantial layoffs in memory and with it purged most of the Response Point team.
