Which will come first: 802.11n being finally ratified as an official IEEE standard, or Australian police giving someone a ticket for having an unsecured wireless home network? If that lawbreaking family down under turns out to be using a (draft) 802.11n router, it will be double plus funny.   In the Spotlight Australian Police to Start Peacedriving Police in the Australian state of Queensland have announced plans to begin surveying residential neighborhoods for unsecured Wi-Fi networks. This appears to be the first time any police force has targeted home networks for such patrols.
