Google's recent bid to provide free WiFi for San Francisco, and its raising a $5.3 billion war chest from stock offerings make clear it has big plans ahead. Its next logical move: Buy a stake in AOL and use the flagging service as a launching point for total Internet (or is that world?) domination. Along the way, Google may hurt quite a few competitors --- and companies that up until now haven't been seen as competitors. Its WiFi plans will certainly pose a threat to telecom and cable companies like SBC and Comcast. The company is building what may be the world's largest core network, which may endanger ISPs.
