NETFLASH: BREAKING NEWS FROM NETWORKWORLD.COM

By Jeff Caruso

When I first read this headline, my first thought was, why not?
Why not, indeed? Google seems on track to take over the world,
so it only makes sense that it would look ahead to carving up

he's been talking - in public, no less, and with a straight face
- about an interplanetary Internet for years. But it turns out
you don't have to look as far as outer space; there is something
terrestrial that NASA has and that Google desperately needs.

access?

Cisco rolls out data center architecture

Cisco Wednesday released a computer networking and
virtualization architecture it calls VFrame. The architecture
